A New Novel – coming soon
Today is my birthday and I feel like giving you things. My books. All of them. And a quick update on what’s coming.

Free. Worthless or priceless?
It is the end of winter, summer is coming. The weather today is nice, I drove home from work with the top open. One of the simple pleasures in my life. Driving with the warm wind in my hair. Summer is when people read books. They lie on sunbeds on beaches, besides swimming pools in […]

Translations? How? Why?
I’m sure you are all aware that I’m not a traditionally published author with million sales to my name. I write when I can and when I feel like it, I sell a handful of books a year, probably not enough to go grocery shopping… once. But you write because you want to. Because you […]

Paperback Writer – how to get them?
Late in 2022, I “remastered” my two existing novels, Under the Black Sand, and Blood and Rain. I made slight changes to the contents and redesigned the books. The cover of Black Sand is now completely different. Blood and Rain is now available in a hardcover for the first time. Both paperbacks are now larger, […]

Happy New 2023!
Dear reader,2022 is gone and 2023 is here. A year is different for us all. Some may experience it as the best year of their lives, while others are forced to stare into the void. 2022 was another strange year. Covid is still here. I lost a friend to the pandemic. My last grandparent left […]
Memory Lane

Fan Fiction
I once tried my hand at fan fiction. You can see some of the results on the front page as the old posts rotate beneath my books. It was going well, I saw the world in front of my eyes, I liked Luna, the main character and the story was based on an incompleted work, […]

The Woman by the Road – a short story
This story is based on events that happened to me many years ago, and would later be the inspiration for my first novel, Under the Black Sand. It was around an hour after midnight in late summer of 1988 when I drove out of the city to spend the weekend with my grandparents. They lived […]

Research and Writing
This last week, received the hardcover copy of my “remastered” debut novel, Under the Black Sand. Flicked through it. Read chapter one and the beginning of the second chapter. Thought I’d share this with you. Two paragraphs, but the first one sets the location. One paragraph that explains what kind of a neighbourhood it is. […]

The Shadow in the Hallway – a short story
I’m not sure when I started seeing him. I just know that I did, frequently. You could see him from the corner of your eye, but the moment you looked, he was gone. Neither did I see his feet. I presume they were there, but he didn’t walk in the usual sense. He floated from one side of the hall to the other. It’s hard to explain. It wasn’t like he was flying, more the absence of walking.
State of Things
The blog is quiet on the surface, but don’t be fooled. Here is what’s up. My second novel, Blood and Rain, is as good as complete. A few minor tweaks, then a bit of photography, cover design, trailer and a Twitter storm. The site went offline in September 2015, as my hosting account was shut […]

Opening Doors
When faced with a hard decision a few months ago, a good friend told me I was opening doors and that could only be fun. She was right, but I listened to the nay-sayers that said I didn’t have what it took. What was I thinking? I had no place in that world! I had […]
Butterflies
I have been thinking about a new novel, now that Under the Black Sand is complete and online. All kinds of ideas fly in and around my head. But the moment I sit down at the computer, they vanish. Like the screen was radiating some erazor beams from space. So I need to find a […]
